Tien Hsiang Lo
Hangzhou has long been celebrated as the "Land of Fish and Rice, Home of Silk, and State of Culture." It served as the capital during the Southern Song Dynasty, a period when its arts, culture, and culinary trends reached their zenith—often referred to as the Chinese Renaissance. The gathering of scholars and literati propelled Hangzhou cuisine into a symbol of a refined and affluent lifestyle.
The Landis Taipei's Tien Hsiang Lo carries on the legacy of Hong Kong's Tien Hsiang Lo, originating from Hangzhou. It preserves the authentic charm of traditional Hangzhou dishes while honoring the essence of its culinary culture, presenting a diverse array of Hangzhou cuisine. Surrounded by interior design inspired by the "Ten Scenes of the West Lake" and accompanied by poetry extolling local dining and banquets, the space beautifully intertwines aesthetic design with the rich humanistic spirit of elegant Hangzhou cuisine. The extension of the Four Arts of the Song Dynasty literati—tea whisking, flower arranging, painting appreciation, and incense burning—further embodies the ultimate lifestyle revered by the Song people in every corner of the restaurant.
